Examination Results and Information 2024:
Thursday 22 August 2024
We were delighted to welcome our 2024 cohort of students into school to collect their GCSE results. There were lots of smiles and delighted faces as they opened their envelopes and staff were on hand to congratulate them on their hard work and phenomenal results.
75% of students achieved a grade 4 in both English and Maths and 61% of students achieved a grade 5 or above in both subjects. 31.2% of all grades were given the coveted grades 7-9 (formally A*-A) which is significantly above the national average of 22.6%. 82.3% of all grades were graded 9-4 compared to a national figure of 67.4%.
Although official Progress 8 scores are not released until October 2024, early indicators suggest that once again Broadwater students have made a significant amount of progress, and will once again put Broadwater in the top 10% of schools for progress nationally.
On the day some students commented:
“I’m delighted with my results; I knew I had worked hard but I never thought I would bank results like these!”
I’m so pleased with my results; the teachers have really gone above and beyond with helping me this year and I’m so please I will be able to do my preferred college choices”
